Why we like it:
The HY-Mini Personal Wind Turbine is one of the first of its kind. Unlike other portable battery recharging units, the HY-Mini Personal Wind Turbine utilises wind power to recharge. This means it doesn’t matter if its overcast or you want to re-charge your batteries in the dark. Obviously the wind too is not always reliable, however with the addition of a bike grip and an armband, you can generate your own power whilst on the move.
How does it work?
The HY-Mini Personal Wind turbine utilises the same technology used by much larger wind turbines, but in a more compact form to help you recharge devices such as mobile phones and iPods whilst on the move. Not only can you use wind power to generate energy, but with the additional purchase of an armband you can generate your own wind flow ( I wanted to just put ‘generate your own wind’ but couldn’t stop laughing so decided wind flow was better. If you can think of a better way to put it you can change!) to make it work. The unit comes with a USB adapter meaning that you can also charge it using a device with a USB port. The HY-Mini Personal Wind Turbine is supplied with mobile phone adapters to allow you to charge your mobile as well as iPods.
