The Solio is a portable solar power unit that charges hand held devices, such as mobile phones, iPods and digital cameras
Why we like it:
The Solio is a compact re-chargeable battery pack that has its own solar panels to derive power from the sun, and whats more it looks great! It is very useful for those emergency moments when you need to contact someone and your phone has run out of charge. Simply attach the Solio via your phones adapter and away you go with free power. When the Solio needs to re-charge its batteries simply open up the solar panels and point towards the sun so it can capture the power of the sun and convert it to useable energy. You’ll never need to use a power socket again to charge your phones, iPods, cameras and other hand held devices.
How does it work?
To charge the Solio simply open out its solar panels and point toward the sun. A full charge via the sun can take up to 8 hours You can also charge it via the supplied wall adapter, meaning that you can charge it using a conventional power socket, a full charge can take up to 6 hours. One hour of charge via the Solios solar panels will provide enough power for 20 minuets talk time for a mobile and 30 minuets of power for MP3s. Its integrated circuitry ensure that the power supplied to your phone is transferred at the same rate as the phones original wall adapter.
