The cash & carbon calculator provides a rolling total of the cash (in £GBP) and carbon (in Kg's CO2) savings that Earthwhile customers have achieved since our launch in April 2007

how does it work?

Earthwhile stocks a wide range of energy saving products which are designed as energy efficient alternatives or renewable energy solutions such as water, wind and solar

Where possible we have labelled our products to show you the potential cash & carbon savings as well as projected payback times and any recycling opportunities

Each time a new energy saving product is purchased from earthwhile.co.uk the cash & carbon savings are added to the live total

how do we calculate this?

We have collected data from the Energy Saving Trust and worked with manufacturers to calculate the emissions savings generated by the energy saving products stocked on Earthwhile

The emissions savings, when mulitplied by an average unit cost of electricity (in kWh's) allows us to calculate a projected cash saving

It is easier to work out the potential savings for some products, low energy light bulbs for example, than it is for others.
