Thermafleece is a natural wool alternative to glass wool insulation.
Note: Free delivery does not apply, see delivery charges below.
Why we like it:
Thermafleece is made from the wool of sheep which graze in the upland areas of the UK. There are many benefits of Thermafleece over traditional glass wool insulation. It is made from a fully renewable resource, it can help reduce noise, control moisture, and can also reduce the amount of pollutants in the air. Thermafleece is a versatile insulator because only is it suitable for insulating lofts but can also be used in floor and wall cavities. The other advantage is that as it is made from wool no special clothing is required to install it.
How does it work?
Thermafleece has a thermal conductivity which is in line with conventional alternatives.
It is able to help control moisture as when its hot the fibres will release moisture reducing temperatures. When there is more humid air the fibres absorb moisture. Thus helping maintain a more stable level of temperature.
It also helps to maintains a better quality of air as the wool fibres naturally absorb air pollutants such as formaldehyde, which with out us realizing, can be given off by such things as processed material like MDF, pressed wood and treated fabrics on furniture.
Test have shown that using Thermafleece in a wall cavity it can reduce noise levels by approximately 6-12db.
