Forests are great fun for everyone. They are places of peace and tranquillity, and a way to connect with nature and the local wildlife environment. It’s sad that a lot of young children in the UK don’t get to experience the simple beauty of a forest.

So if you’re looking for something to on Sunday 11th September then why not visit your local Forestry Commission reserve? They are holding an open day for people to explore their woodland, talk to the rangers who look after the forests and also take part in a giant tree hug to beat the Guinness World Record.
